Despite a slow start offensively, the Sixers, led by Tyrese Maxey, turned things around in the second half, pulling away for a crucially important 103-91 win over the Orlando Magic to start off their brief three game road trip. With the win, the Sixers improved to 21-15 on the season and now have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Magic in the fight for Eastern Conference playoff positioning.

The Sixers were led by 29 points from Tyrese Maxey, 14 of which came in the third quarter. Joel Embiid chipped in with 22 points and nine rebounds, with Paul George scoring 18, 10 of which came in the fourth.

Desmond Bane led the Magic with 23 points, with Orlando getting 21 from Anthony Black and 14 from Paolo Banchero, albeit on just 6-18 shooting.
