All the latest injury news surrounding Arsenal and Portsmouth ahead of their FA Cup third round clash.

Arsenal now turn their attention to the FA Cup third round as they look to return to winning ways following a frustrating home draw with Liverpool. The Gunners are still alive and in with a chance of winning all of the competitions they are competing in, and they will want to keep their FA Cup hopes alive here.

Portsmouth welcome the Gunners to Fratton Park on the back of a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Bristol City, but they bolstered their Championship survival hopes with four games unbeaten before that game. John Mousinho’s men are currently just one point ahead of the bottom three, but they have two games in-hand over Norwich City.

Here we round up all the latest injury news ahead of this cup clash.

Mark Kosznovszky - Out

Kosznovszky is out for the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

Hayden Matthews - Out

Matthews is not going to return until March after having surgery on his ankle. Mousinho has said: !Hayden is going to be about 8-10 weeks with a very similar injury to what he picked up last year, but he doesn’t require surgery. He injured his ankle in the tackle on the far side at the back end of Bristol City.”

Josh Knight - Out

Knight is not expected to return until February due to a troubling back issue. Mousinho has said: “Josh essentially has bone bruising on the back. We were testing that to see how that settled out in the last week and, now that has gone, we’ve had him re-scanned. Underneath that there’s a stress fracture there. That is something we couldn’t initially see on the scan, but now it’s really clear to us and unfortunately that is one of those injuries which just means he’s going to be off his feet for the next 4-6 weeks - and then he’s going to build off the back of that.”

Callum Lang - Out

Lang suffered a hamstring injury on Boxing Day and is expected to be out for the duration of January.

Josh Murphy - Out

The winger is said to be dealing with a few different issues and will miss out here.

Colby Bishop, Connor Ogilvie, Florian Bianchini, Thomas Waddingham - Out

All four are expected to miss out with various issues.

Marlon Pack - Fit

Experienced midfielder Marlon Pack is set to be fit after a recent injury issue.

Riccardo Calafiori - Out

Calafiori is not expected to return for another few days after this game. Arteta confirmed before the Liverpool game: “No, they are out again. I think, pretty soon... they have to go to the last stage of the rehab. And if everything goes well, hopefully very soon, they will be available for selection.”

Cristhian Mosquera - Out

The same update was issued of Mosquera, who should be ready to return some time next week.

Max Dowman - Out

Dowman is going to miss some time, with Arteta confirming: “Yes, so first of all, unfortunately, Max [Dowman] picked up an injury last weekend and had to come off. So he did some scans and he is going to be out for weeks.”
