The January transfer window is hotting up with Liverpool at the centre of some of the stories. Despite a summer of big spending, including the additions of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, the Reds continue to be linked with more incomings in the winter window.
Liverpool were handed another injury blow on Thursday night with full-back Conor Bradley forced off during the 0-0 draw with Arsenal. The injury situation has heightened the need for reinforcements in the squad.
It's a quick turnaround for Arne Slot and his team, who are back in action on Monday evening as they take on League One Barnsley in the third round of the FA Cup.
While concentration for Slot and the team will be on the pitch, work will be going on behind the scenes in the transfer window. Here's a look at some of the latest stories doing the rounds in and around Anfield.
Liverpool confirm transfer
Liverpool have singed defender Mor Talla Ndiaye, subject to international clearance. The Senegal youth international joins up with the Reds' under-21 side from Amitie FC, who are owned by former Newcastle United and Chelsea striker Demba Ba.
Ndiaye represented his nation at the under-17 World Cup last year and helped his side reach the knockout stages.
Liverpool plan for Ndiaye to bolster the Reds' defensive options at youth level. The move offsets the fact that Wellity Lucky is now a regular fixture in the senior squad, given the club's shortages there throughout the season.
Man Utd hijack
Liverpool are now part of the race to sign RB Leipzig starlet Yan Diomande, according to reports. The Reds join Manchester United in chasing the teenage star, alongside Manchester City, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, PSG and Barcelona.
United are said to have already tabled an offer, but short of Leipzig’s £86million valuation. Diomande still has four and a half years remaining on his contract, giving the Bundesliga side plenty of leverage.
The club do not want to sell this month and the summer is more likely to offer a better platform for a sale. United are already to be noted in discussions with that attacker and have discussed a five-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.

Chiesa texts
According to Tuttosport, Federico Chiesa has been in touch with some former team-mates over the prospect of a January move. The Italian winger is reported to be open to returning to Turin and has contacted Dusan Vlahovic, Manuel Locatelli and Federico Gatti.
Juve would need to pay up €10m (£8.9m) to secure Chiesa's return after earning €15m (£13.3m) from his sale to Anfield in 2024. The Reds are reportedly only entertaining a permanent transfer, not a loan deal with an option to buy.
For his part, Chiesa is not considering other offers, having only opened the door for a possible Juventus return.
