Bukayo Saka has agreed a new deal with Arsenal that will keep him at the club until 2031.
Had he wanted to move, Saka knows he could have had his pick of any of the top clubs in Europe.
However he has chosen to stay at The Emirates convinced that the club is ready to turn potential in reality and begin winning silverware. The news will also come as a huge boost for the supporters, many of whom still regard him as the “star boy” who emerged from the Hale End academy.
It is expected that he will earn close to ₤300,000 a week with his new deal, which will make him the top earner at Arsenal.
Next on Andreas Berta’s to do list is a new contract for Jurrien Timber, whilst Declan Rice and Kai Havertz are two other players the club want to tie down to long-term contracts.
