Juventus are working on a rescue mission to bring Federico Chiesa back to the club from Liverpool this month.
That’s according to Saturday’s of Tuttosport. They report that Juventus are working on the deal, which they say as one that ‘benefits everyone’. The Chiesa move is pushed so much that he’s again on the Turin newspaper’s front page.
Re-signing Chiesa from Liverpool is seen as a smart move that would instantly increase the quality in Juventus’ squad, improve the offensive output and give Luciano Spalletti a player he likes and wants.
It would also be key for Chiesa, who at 28, needs to be playing. That’s particularly true with the World Cup on the horizon. ‘He needs trust’ and nothing more to get back to his best.
Arne Slot hasn’t provided enough of that trust, and that’s seen the player’s camp look towards the exit.
This move is a win-win for everyone. Liverpool can make a profit, Juve bring home a talent who can make the difference in Serie A and Chiesa gets playing time and trust.
The ‘two managements’, Juventus and Chiesa’s, have already discussed all of this. They will continue to do so in the coming days. They’re yet to discuss everything and need ‘greater guarantees’ before things can be finalised.
The biggest hurdle are ‘transfer matters’, which likely means an agreement with Liverpool. But the intent is there to get the deal done this month.
