Former Utsa, Nevada Cornerback KK Meier Picks Cincinnati

Cincinnati has made another addition to its defensive backfield, getting a commitment from UTSA cornerback KK Meier. The Lubbock, TX native stands 6'0", 190 pounds and posted 25 tackles in 2025 with five pass breakups. He spent the 2025 season in San Antonio after playing two seasons with Nevada.

Cincinnati has to replace both its starting corners after the 2025 season as both Matthew McDoom and Logan Wilson ran out of eligibility. The Bearcats already added Bowling Green corner MJ Cannon, now KK Meier adds much-needed depth in the room.

The Bearcats have usually liked to have four game-ready corners, and looking at the room they currently have two with Meier and Daniel James. Zaravion Johnson could be considered game-ready but coming off an Achilles injury, it might not be wise to bank on him being a key piece of next year's offense.

Don't be shocked if Cincinnati continues to add to the cornerback room.
