Man City player ratings vs Exeter: Semenyo scores on debut in thumping 10-1 victory

Manchester City sailed into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a resounding 10-1 victory over Exeter City. Pep Guardiola fielded a formidable line-up against the League One side, resulting in an easy win. Young defender Max Alleyne set City on their way before Rodri hammered in a second, and two additional goals late in the first half were followed by a trio of substitutions after the interval.

Antoine Semenyo then scored a goal and provided an assist on his full debut for the club before being substituted for Jeremy Doku with 30 minutes remaining as City showed no signs of letting up. Tijjani Reijnders curled one in from the edge of the box, Nico O'Reilly headed in and Ryan McAidoo struck home before George Birch netted a late consolation and Rico Lewis added a tenth.

Here are the City player ratings from today's ruthless win...

Man City player ratings vs Exeter

James Trafford - 7

Made a decent save early on as Exeter posed a threat and then had very little to do in a match dominated by City.

Rico Lewis - 9

Integral to much of City's play, scored a beautiful goal and set up another for O'Reilly. He even wore the captain's armband in the second half.

Abdukodir Khusanov - 7

Another sturdy performance, with his biggest challenge coming when Mfuni collided with him late in the game.

Max Alleyne - 8

Scored the opening goal and didn't put a foot wrong thereafter, capping off a fantastic week for the young player.

Nathan Ake - 7

Contributed the third goal after being involved in the first as well before being substituted at half-time.

Rodri - 7

A splendid moment for him to score - and what a smashing strike. Crucial minutes for him as he regains his form.

Ryan McAidoo - 8

Diminished slightly in the second half but made superb decisions that contributed to goals and displayed no fear. Scored late on.

Tijani Reijnders - 8

Still has his exasperating moments, but he was involved in several goals and kept City on the offensive.

Rayan Cherki - 7

Fluctuated in and out of the match, not aided by assuming multiple positions.

Antoine Semenyo - 7

A goal and assist in the second half to invigorate his performance and surely secure his start at Newcastle.

Erling Haaland - 6

Came close with one decent attempt and appeared lively, but should still view it as a missed opportunity.

Substitutes

Divine Mukasa - 7

Plenty of running and assisted McAidoo for his goal.

Stephen Mfuni - 6

Held his ground in some physical confrontations.

Nico O'Reilly - 7

Connected with Lewis' cross for another goal.

Jeremy Doku - 7

Continued where Semenyo left off.

Bernardo Silva - 6

Slotted in seamlessly.
