Everything you need to know about the biggest FA Cup upsets as Macclesfield FC beat Crystal Palace 2-1 on Saturday to advance to the fourth round...

Macclesfield the giant slayers: A whopping 117 places separate Crystal Palace and Macclesfield FC in the English football pyramid, but that didn't bother the Silkmen on Saturday afternoon. Paul Dawson and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts secured Macclesfield's space in the fourth round of the tournament with a 2-1 win on the day, with Yeremy Pino's late strike coming as all but a consolation prize. Hereford stun Newcastle: The Magpies may have been a force to be reckoned with at the time, but that didn't prevent Hereford United from securing a 2-1 win over the north east side in 1972. Richard George scored the winner for the Southern Football League side, who overcame stiff competition in the form of a First Division Newcastle.

Sunderland slump to Yeovil: Elsewhere in the north east, Sunderland succumbed to a 2-1 loss to Southern League side Yeovil in the FA Cup in 1949, despite the First Division Black Cats being known as the "Bank of England Club" due to their hefty spending. Eric Bryant scored the winner in extra time.

Coventry cast aside by Sutton: On January 7, 1989 - Sutton United secured a 2-1 win over a high-flying Coventry City at Gander Green Lane. Not only were Sutton in the Conference and City were in the First Division at the time, but Coventry had also just won the FA Cup 18 months prior.

Arsenal slayed by the Red Dragons: In 1992, Wrexham secured a shock 2-1 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup thanks to goals from Michael Thomas and Stephen Watkin overshadowing Alan Smith's effort. It was a historic day at the Racecourse Ground, given three divisions separated a high-flying Gunners (First Division) and a lowly Wrexham (Fourth Division).

Bradford burst Chelsea's bubble: A little over a decade ago, Chelsea were handed a shock 4-2 loss to League One Bradford City in the competition at Stamford Bridge. It was one of the darkest days of Jose Mourinho's second-stint with the Blues, and especially surprising considering Chelsea won the Premier League later that year.

Burnley lose to Lincoln: In 2017, National League side Lincoln secured a 1-0 win over Premier League outfit Burnley, thanks to Sean Raggett's last-minute strike. It was a season to remember for the Imps, who also secured promotion to League Two the same year.
