Pistons get bad sign for Cade Cunningham before Clippers game

On Saturday night, the Detroit Pistons are going to host the Los Angeles Clippers.

The star guard Cade Cunningham enters the matchup on the injury report for the second game in a row. The Pistons labeled him as questionable due to a right wrist contusion.

While the team doesn’t seem overly concerned with Cunningham’s setback, he did miss their most recent matchup against the Chicago Bulls as a result.

The Pistons Get a Bad Sign for Saturday

As the Pistons hope for Cunningham’s return to action on Saturday against Los Angeles, they got a bad sign for his status on the morning of the matchup.

After the team went through its morning shootaround session, it was revealed that Cunningham was nowhere to be seen. While that doesn’t guarantee he’ll miss the game, it certainly suggests that Cunningham is in danger of missing his second-straight game.

For the second season in a row, Cunningham is putting together an impressive All-Star campaign. In 33 games, Cunningham has been posting averages of 26.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 9.7 assists per game.

The star guard has made 46 percent of his shots from the field and is averaging 34 percent from beyond the arc, while taking 6.1 attempts per game.

Cunningham is likely a game-time decision against the Clippers on Saturday. Detroit will also monitor the availability of Isaiah Stewart while planning to play without Tobias Harris and Jalen Duren, who are recovering from setbacks.

The Pistons and the Clippers are slated for 7:30 PM ET on Saturday.
