Everton now considering move to sign player Arsenal sold for just £2m in 2024 (journalist)

Everton badly need a new right-back.

Nathan Patterson was given a rare start in the FA Cup clash against Sunderland, but a lack of action caught up with the Scotland international as he pulled up towards the end of the match.

Patterson might be loaned out regardless as Sevilla show interest, and Everton are now contemplating a move to sign Brooke Norton-Cuffy from Genoa as the need for a new right-back grows.

We’ve got no words… have you? 😡

Everton looking to Serie A as Brooke Norton-Cuffy considered along with Emil Holm

Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports has now claimed that the 21-year-old is an option for Everton.

Norton-Cuffy has experience of English football, spending time with Chelsea as a youngster before moving to Arsenal’s Hale End academy.

However, he never made a senior appearance for the Gunners before a £1.7m move to Genoa materialised in August 2024.

Now, Everton could give the man born in Pimlico a chance to show Arsenal what they lost.

The right-back Everton currently seem most interested in signing

The right-back shortlist is starting to become more of a long list.

Juanlu Sanchez is said to be admired, while Roma No.43 Wesley is being watched – the Lancashire Telegraph add that Everton also like Ryan Alebiosu of Blackburn.

Brazilian duo Vanderson and Vitinho of Monaco and Botafogo respectively have also been linked with moves to Everton.

However – in our opinion – Zakaria El Ouahdi is the one Everton want most.

Africa Foot believe Everton are in advanced talks to sign the Morocco international from Genk – along with Crystal Palace.

While Everton could still miss out on the Genk No.77 to Crystal Palace, he is the only right-back the Toffees are said to have held advanced talks to sign, which suggests the Moroccan is the priority.
