CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cavaliers pulled away in the second half to rout Minnesota 146-134 Saturday at Rocket Arena, splitting the home-and-home series.
Trailing by 2 at the half, Cleveland (22-18) outscored the Wolves 36-26 in the 3rd quarter and 45-41 in the final period, hitting 10 straight shots at one point.
Cleveland shot 60% from the floor and 50% from distance (15 of 30).
Donovan Mitchell had a team-high 28 for the Cavs, while Evan Mobley chipped in 24.
Sam Merrill hit five of six 3-pointers en route to 20 points. It’s his 4th straight game with 5 or more threes, setting a team record.
The 146 points is Cleveland’s second-highest total of the season (148 vs Washington Nov. 7).
Anthony Edwards led Minnesota (25-14) with 25 points.
The Cavs are back on home court Monday when the Utah Jazz come to town (7 p.m.).
