(Video): Neto thrashes in near post finish and Estevao’s superb dribble wins penalty as Blue…

Chelsea have won their FA Cup game against Charlton 5-1 after two late goals put the icing on the cake for Liam Rosenior in his first game as manager.

The new coach watched his team score twice late on to make the score line very tasty after a tough game. Pedro Neto got the fourth, chopping inside to leave a defender trailing then thrashing in a powerful near post finish that the keeper was powerless to stop.

The game seemed over then, but there was time for one more attack. Estevao had come on as a second half sub and had some really nice moments, but he saved the best until last. His superb piece of skill left a defender tripping over himself, and the goalkeeper could only bring him down to give away a penalty – albeit one which VAR probably would have chalked off.

Enzo Fernandez stepped up to smash in the penalty with the last kick of the game.

It’s only the 3rd round of the FA Cup against Championship opposition, but we shouldn’t take that for granted. Just remember how much we struggled against Lincoln in the EFL Cup with a similar lineup back in the Autumn.

This was a very impressive start.

Chelsea’s second and third were really the goals that put the game into their power. Tosin scored a header just after half time, and shortly after Charlton scored Marc Guiu made it 3-1 with a close range finish.

Hato is playing in a new role, and he got the opening goal for the Blues with a stunning strike from the edge of the box to put his team ahead.
