Utah Jazz vs Charlotte Hornets: Recap and final score

If you watched this entire game, than you are a glutton for punishment. On a night with plenty of other games to watch (Packers vs. Bears playoff game and Utah vs BYU college basketball), the Utah Jazz were playing the lowly Charlotte Hornets. Both teams have similar records and both teams have a number of younger dudes starting to make their way in the league. It’s worth noting that the Jazz were also without vet star Lauri Markkanen in this one, which points to the final score being what it was. The Jazz lost this one by 55 points. To the Hornets. The final score was 150-95.

There’s not much to say about this one. I’ll be honest. I didn’t watch a lot of this game. I tuned in for the first half and it was an absolute atrocious showing. Here’s a few key notes from the game and we can all return to some better sports on TV (I personally am watching the BYU game with AJ Dybantsa):

* The Jazz shot 23% from the three point line and suprisingly 41% overall. The Hornets shot 52% overall and 41% from the three.

* The Jazz were led by Brice Sensabaugh, who scored 26 points. Keyonte George had FOUR points. Everyone else was awful. I’d give the game ball to Isaiah Collier, who had 17 points and 9 assists.

* For the Hornets, 9 of their players including 4 off the bench were in double figures in points. LaMelo Ball played the best, with Kon Knueppel right behind him.

That’s about all I have to say about this game. Here’s a highlight:

In the immortal words of Will Hardy, “That was a masterpiece of dogshit.”

**Jazz are back at it on 1/12 against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland.**
