The teenager is initially set to feature at U21 level with a view to becoming part of the first-team set-up.

Meanwhile, there are plenty more rumours for Liverpool fans to get stuck into this weekend.

Yan Diomande wants to play for Liverpool

After links at the back end of 2025, it was reported this week that Liverpool’s interest in Diomande should be taken seriously.

Now, the Reds have been given a potential boost when it comes to signing the RB Leipzig winger.

MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES

In a video that emerged on social media, Diomande admitted he is a ‘big’ Liverpool fan and has expressed his desire to play for the club.

He said: “I want to play at Anfield, I want to play for Liverpool. I’m a big Liverpool fan.

“My father’s dream is to see me play for Liverpool.”

It could take a fee of over €100m to complete a move for the versatile Bundesliga attacker.

Marc Guehi prefers Liverpool switch

Just when it looked as though Manchester City could sign Marc Guehi, hope of an Anfield switch has now returned.

Journalist Sam Lee has now said this week that Guehi wants to join Liverpool ahead of the Sky Blues.

However, he also added that the centre-back would rather wait until the summer before moving.

Lee said: “On Monday night I was told by somebody who knows what’s going on at City, but also I think probably Palace as well, he said he thinks Guehi wants to stay until the summer and he prefers Liverpool in any case.

“Somebody else messaged me on Twitter and I know he’s very good on other club stuff, he was like ‘yeah, he wants to stay until the summer and he prefers Liverpool and Arsenal’.

How would YOU react if Marc Guehi joins Man City instead of Liverpool in January?

What it would take for Liverpool to let Federico Chiesa leave

Amid a lack of playing time under Arne Slot this season, Federico Chiesa has been linked with a Juventus return.

At present, it seems Liverpool would be open to letting Chiesa leave, but only if a good bid is made.

Journalist David Lynch explained: “It would have to be a guaranteed permanent fee. There’s just no point loaning someone out who’s been important in recent weeks.”

However, as things stand, Juventus are not thought to have made a permanent bid for the player.
