Chelsea have become the latest club to show interest in RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.
CHELSEA have finally managed to secure the services of Liam Rosenior for the next five years after they made the move to get a swoop done, and now the Blues can focus on adding to their squad.
But despite all the quality that Chelsea has all over the pitch, there has been reports that the Blues have joined the chase alongside Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham in the hunt to try and sign Yan Diomande.
Diomande has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga since joining RB Leipzig from CD Leganes this past summer. and he 19-year-old has been one of the most productive attackers for the Bundesliga club this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 16 outings in all competitions thus far.
But according to The Athletic, a fee of £86million may be required to sign Diomande in the coming windows, and Furthermore, as Leipzig have no intention of allowing Diomande to leave, it will take a very large offer for them to consider a winter sale as his contract expires in 2030.

Diomande is the type of player that CHELSEA like to sign, young, hungry and full of talent. But he is a player that the club do not need right now and adding him to the squad would only unsettle his development.
However – despite the fact the Blues are one of the biggest clubs in world football, there is so much quality in that Blues side that Diomande may not get the chances that he is right now.
MCQUEEN DEAL DONE
Chelsea Football Club have come out and announced that Academy winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The Blues posted on the club website: ‘Kavuma-McQueen joined CHELSEA at Under-8 level and progressed through the Academy to become an exciting and direct wide player. During his schoolboy years, he played a key role in lifting the Under-15 Premier League Floodlit Cup and went on to feature regularly for the Under-18s during the 2024/25 season.
‘That campaign also saw the winger make his Under-21s debut in a 2-0 victory over Manchester United. After signing his Chelsea scholarship in July 2025, Kavuma-McQueen quickly established himself as a regular starter for our Under-21s, scoring in a 5-0 Premier League 2 win against Newcastle United.
‘He has since gained valuable European experience, making his Under-19 UEFA Youth League debut against Bayern Munich and scoring in a 5-2 victory over Benfica. His continued development was recognised with a place on the bench for the men’s UEFA Champions League home win over Ajax.
‘On the international stage, Kavuma-McQueen has represented England at Under-17 level, scoring four times in a thrilling 7-5 victory over Germany in September 2025.
‘Congratulations, Ryan!’

MIAGNAN DECISION MADE
AC Milan star Mike Maignan is set to make a decision about joining Chelsea this January window, as it has been claimed that the big man is about to sign a new contract with the Italian giants.
CHELSEA are always one of the biggest spenders in most transfer windows and there has been alot more rumours in the media that the club are still looking to add a new stropper to the squad before the close of the window this month.
Much-maligned current No.1 Robert Sanchez has seen his stock rise over the last year or so, but the position is still widely viewed as a weak point that needs to be strengthened, while Filip Jorgensen has reportedly asked for a move away from the club.
The Blues pushed hard to sign Maignan before the Club World Cup in the United States, seeing a lowball €15 million (£13m/$17.5m) offer rejected ahead of the tournament. It was reported at the time that the player was keen on the move, but Milan held firm and the west Londoners didn’t revisit their interest later in the summer
According to Fabrice Hawkins, the player is now in advanced negotiations to extend his stay at the club by another five years, although no final agreement has been reached as yet.
Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani recently denied claims that Maignan had tried to force his way out, saying: “There was interest from an English club, it was not considered an interesting interest from the club’s point of view.
‘Mike was and is an important player for Milan, and his agent was also very correct. There was openness to this interest but at the same time there was an interest on their part, not a forcing or a push, to stay at Milan. Then in the medium-long term future, those who live will see.”
