Cody Williams set a new NBA record for the worst single-game plus-minus, posting -60 in Utah's 150-95 loss to Charlotte.
The Utah Jazz suffered a historic blow on Saturday night, falling 150-95 to the Charlotte Hornets – a 55-point loss, the worst in the franchise's history since moving to Utah.
Adding to the misery, sophomore forward Cody Williams set a new NBA record for the worst single-game plus-minus in at least the last 30 years of tracking data, posting -60.
The previous record of -58 was shared by Scoot Henderson and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.
Williams started the game and scored 15 points over 32.5 minutes. This season, the 21-year-old is averaging 4.6 points and -4.2 plus-minus per game.
Historically, the Jazz have only suffered one defeat by a larger margin: a 56-point loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in 1979, when the team was still based in New Orleans.
"Well, if you want a picture of what everything going wrong looks like, that's what it looks like," Jazz head coach Will Hardy said after the game. The loss dropped Utah to 13-25 on the season.
