Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that you may have missed over the past 24 hours….
Liverpool have announced that they have completed the signing of talented defender Mor Talla Ndiaye. The deal marks the first signing completed by the Reds during the January transfer window.
*LIVERPOOL*spent some crazy money in the summer transfer window and added players like Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz and Aleksander Isak to that attack, but they have been stuttering this season.
Arne Slot has been unable to get the very out of his players on a weekly basis and that has left Liverpool off the pace for that Premier League title, with Arsenal the clear favourites to be crowned Champions for the first time in over 20 years.
But rather than add some experience to the side this transfer window, Liverpool have delved into the transfer kitty and added the talented Ndiaye to the squad, Liverpool posted on the club website: ‘Liverpool have completed the signing of defender Mor Talla Ndiaye, subject to international clearance.
‘The Senegal youth centre-back, who turned 18 earlier this month, links up with the Reds’ U21s ranks from Amitie FC in his homeland. Ndiaye represented his country at the FIFA U17 World Cup in November, making four appearances as they reached the knockout stages.
‘He has also featured for Senegal at U18 level.’

We are sure that Ndiaye is a very talented defender that could go on to become a top-class centre-half, but *LIVERPOOL*have issues that need to be solved now and they should have added a new defender that was ready to make an immediate impact.
There is plenty more time for Liverpool to keep on adding to the squad over the next few weeks, but one thing is for certain, they need to sign players that will make a big impact this season, so they need to spend wisely.
JOSENDAL SIGNS
Here is the latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip as the Reds Women have completed the signing of Norway forward Anna Josendal from Hammarby IF, the club have announced on the website.
In 2023, she won the Norwegian Women’s Cup and was named Toppserien Player of the Year after registering 17 goal involvements (eight goals, nine assists) from her 24 top-flight outings.
Josendal has spent the past two campaigns in Sweden with Hammarby, where she was on the scoresheet 12 times in all competitions, but now the 24-year-old put pen to paper on a contract with the Reds at the AXA Melwood Training Centre.
Josendal will wear the No.21 shirt and told *LIVERPOOL*fc.com upon finalising the switch: “It feels amazing to be here.
“This has been my dream since I was a little kid – Liverpool has always been my favourite team and my whole family is supporting them as well, so it’s big for me.
“I spoke a lot with Gareth [Taylor] and Andy [O’Boyle] and that felt so good, and also to play in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the best league in Europe, is something I really look forward to.
“To play for this shirt is going to be so special, so I can’t wait to get started.”
IcFootballnews Says…
Josendal has been impressive over the past few seasons and that is why *LIVERPOOL*have made their moves to get a transfer deal done, she will certainly freshen up the side for the second half of the season.
Josendal will have to work hard to win her place in that Liverpool side, but she has shown over the past few seasons that she can certainly make a big impact at Anfield over the next few seasons.
GUEHI TRANSFER MESSAGE SENT
Sol Campbell believes that Arsenal should act on their transfer interest in Liverpool transfer target Marc Guehi and says the Crystal Palace defender would be a ‘top’ addition to Mikel Arteta’s side.
Marc Guehi has been in the transfer headlines for the past few months, as there has been constant speculation and rumours that Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal are all very much interested in getting a deal done.
*LIVERPOOL*have been linked with Guehi for the last few transfer windows, but they have not yet made their moves, and reports suggest Arne Slot will wait until the end of the season to make an offer for the England star.
But amid the speculation and rumours, Campbell believes that the Gunners would be foolish not to enquire about Guehi to add their wealth of options in the backline: ‘The back line is more interesting,’ Campbell told Sky Bet.
‘Marc Guehi at Crystal Palace is a top player. I know *LIVERPOOL*are sniffing around him. That’s someone I would inquire about.’
Arsenal have been the best defensive side in the Premier League over the past three seasons, in large part down to the rock-solid partnership between Gabriel and William Saliba, and Campbell believes the two can go down as Arsenal’s best-ever centre-back pairing.
‘To be a truly top centre-half pairing, you must play together for two, three, four, even five years,’ he said. ‘And you must win things.
‘You need to perform at a high-level week in, week out, across multiple seasons, then look back and say, ‘We achieved something’.
‘You can’t really compare partnerships until that happens. Potentially, Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba could be the best Arsenal have had, and among the best the Premier League has seen. But potential isn’t enough – you have to win.
‘Everything is there. I hope they go on to build an outstanding partnership over the next few years, win trophies and fulfil what they’re working towards.
‘You can play brilliantly and have a great relationship, but if you don’t win anything, something is missing.
‘That’s what you’ve got to do – play amazing, have a great relationship, win as well, and then look back and say, ‘That was an amazing time.’ Until then, it’s all about potential. Hypothetically.’
