The Milwaukee Bucks are exploring trade options to upgrade the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo, with reported interest in Zach LaVine, Malik Monk, Anthony Davis, and Michael Porter Jr., though no active talks are currently underway.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been exploring the trade market as they search for ways to upgrade the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Milwaukee Bucks / Schedule
Milwaukee has been linked to several potential targets, including Sacramento Kings guards Zach LaVine and Malik Monk. However, league sources told The Athletic that as of early this week, no active talks were taking place regarding either player.
The same report also notes that the Bucks expressed interest in Dallas Mavericks big man Anthony Davis, a 10-time All-Star, though there appears to be no realistic path to completing such a deal. Moreover, AD is currently sidelined with a hand injury.
In addition, Milwaukee is believed to be among the teams monitoring Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr., who is enjoying a career-best season while averaging 25.9 points per game.
In terms of contracts, LaVine is earning $47.5 million this season, Monk $18.8 million, Davis $54.1 million, and Porter $38.3 million.
Antetokounmpo recently reaffirmed his commitment to the Bucks, but the franchise is clearly seeking additional help as it looks to climb out of 11th place in the Eastern Conference, where it currently sits at 17–21.
