Boston Celtics guard reacts to trade rumors

Amid growing trade speculation, Boston Celtics guard Anfernee Simons said he isn't fazed by the rumors, noting that being mentioned in potential deals has been "just part of the NBA" for him since early in his career.

Boston Celtics guard Anfernee Simons has found himself in trade rumors as the league approaches the Feb. 5 deadline, largely due to his $27.7 million expiring contract.

For a team mindful of luxury tax implications, Simons could be a movable piece — though Boston also has clear reasons to hold onto him.

The 26-year-old is in the final year of his deal and has been productive in a bench role, averaging 13.4 points and 2.5 assists per game while knocking down 40.9 percent of his three-point attempts.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Simons says the chatter hasn't affected his focus.

"That's the NBA," he said, via MassLive. "I've been in trade rumors since my third year, every other week it seemed like. So, it's just a part of the NBA, and you've just got to be where your feet are."

According to HoopsHype, the Milwaukee Bucks are among the teams that have shown interest in Simons.
