Liam Rosenior got off to the best possible start as Chelsea head coach with a convincing win against Charlton, but Alejandro Garnacho struggled.
In what could have been a potential banana skin in the FA Cup third round, the Blues ran out 5-1 winners at The Valley.
There were five different goal scorers on the night, but without doubt the goal of the game was a brilliant strike by Jorrel Hato.
Alejandro Garnacho struggled against Charlton
Liam Rosenior made a number of changes from the side which lost to Fulham, and certainly more than many would have expected.
Garnacho was handed a start on the left hand side having not featured in the previous two games against Manchester City and Fulham.

The Argentine struggled to make an impact on the game especially in the first half, and despite an improvement after half time it wasn’t the best performance.
A new manager coming in is a reset for everyone, and Garnacho was in favour under Enzo Maresca, but if his stats from the Charlton game are anything to go by he’s got some improving to do to win Rosenior over.
According to FotMob Garnacho had no successful dribbles, no shots on target and lost seven of his duels, which doesn’t make for great reading.
How can Liam Rosenior get the best out of the Argentine
Garnacho arrived from Manchester United in the summer in a deal believed to be worth £40m and has struggled for consistency.

Chelsea players celebrate goal against Charlton.
The 21-year-old has made 21 appearances in all competitions, and has scored four goals and registered three assists this season.
However, with the likes of Pedro Neto and Estevao impressing, whilst Jamie Gittens also put in a better performance against Charlton, Garnacho has got his work cut out if he’s to win a regular place in the Chelsea side under Rosenior.
