Much has already been made of just how good Liam Rosenior is in front of the cameras. A classy operator that will give Todd Boehly little concern of an Enzo Maresca-style outburst.
Already, Rosenior has held a press conference after joining Chelsea, a pre-match press conference ahead of the clash against Charlton, and then on Saturday, the Englishman spoke to reporters after a 5-1 win.
It’s been a brilliant first few days of his Chelsea tenure. The former Hull and Strasbourg gaffer is already answering critics who said the Chelsea job was too big a leap for him. A picture of calm, composure.

Rosenior’s approach in front of a camera is a much-needed one at Chelsea after Maresca called out the Chelsea board, and it comes at the same time as Ruben Amorim doing so over at Manchester United.
What Liam Rosenior said about Enzo Maresca last night
If Rosenior is calm in front of a camera, then it is the opposite behind the scenes. Reports say that the standout from Chelsea’s training under Rosenior is the manager’s intensity, which lacked under Maresca.
While there has been a few parting shots aimed at Maresca, it is important to remember the Italian did deliver a Europa Conference League title as well as the Club World Cup in the summer, before Rosenior.

Rosenior certainly remembers. Showing class again, Rosenior discussed Maresca in his post-match press conference on Saturday night and told reporters that the squad he has inherited are well-coached.
“This team won the Club World Cup five months ago. This is a team that won the Conference League last year. We’re a good team. We are a good team. They’ve been well coached. I’ve made no secret of that.”
The two things Chelsea think Rosenior can do that Maresca didn’t
For much of his tenure, it always felt like Maresca was at loggerheads with those above him and had to fight to have his way. Not just with the ownership, but with other parts of the Chelsea hierarchy and club.
But Chelsea have now hired a manager they believe will listen and try to work with the board. According to reports, the Chelsea board believe Rosenior will aim to win games by dominating possession.

And, that Rosenior will listen to the medical team. Something which is believed Maresca often didn’t over the likes of Cole Palmer and Reece James. The future looks bright under Rosenior at Chelsea, no doubt.
But the bigger tests are coming for Rosenior. It won’t be Championship opposition next week, with the Blues taking on Arsenal in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final, before Brentford in the league.
