Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul have added more shooting to their roster by signing former NBA guard Matt Thomas for the rest of the season. The Turkish club continues to strengthen its squad as it pushes for success in the EuroCup.

Thomas joins Besiktas after spending the season with CB Granada. The 31-year-old shooting guard was a key scorer in Spain, averaging 14.6 points per game while shooting 46.2 percent from three-point range.
The American guard has a strong resume in Europe. He won the EuroCup with Valencia in 2019, playing an important role during the title run.
Thomas also has EuroLeague experience, having played last season with ALBA Berlin. He averaged 12.3 points per game and remained efficient from deep against top-level competition.
Before his European career, Thomas played in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, and Chicago Bulls.
Besiktas currently sit second in Group B of the EuroCup with a 9-4 record.
