Despite Liam Rosenior’s arrival, Chelsea are in for a quiet transfer window this month.
Rosenior may want to bring in a few new players to make his mark, but not much transfer activity is expected at Chelsea during January.
However, there could be loads of arrivals and departures in the summer transfer window.
What are your first impressions of Liam Rosenior’s tactics following Chelsea’s FA Cup win against Charlton?
What differences did you notice between his style and Enzo Maresca's? 👀

Chelsea already know that Geovany Quenda, who was at Cobham recently for rehabilitation, will be joining their squad. But there could also be some big exits.

Manchester City could make approach for Marc Cucurella in the summer
Manchester City have been interested in Marc Cucurella in the past, and it looks like the defender could become a target for them again.
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that City have been making enquiries about Cucurella and that a “serious approach” could be made in the summer.
Cucurella did recently sign a new contract at Chelsea, but it was only to increase his wages, not the amount of years on the deal.

It means that the left-back only has a couple of years remaining on his contract, and the Blues will not want him to enter the final 12 months of it.
With that in mind, City may sense an opportunity. If Cucurella does depart Stamford Bridge, Chelsea may already have his replacement.
Jorrel Hato shone against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday and could be a potential successor to Cucurella. Enzo Maresca was not too keen on the Dutchman, but Rosenior is already showing him a lot of love.

Marc Cucurella was one of Enzo Maresca’s favourite players
Maresca’s departure may be another reason why City believe there could be an opportunity to sign Cucurella.
There is no doubt that the Spaniard was one of Maresca’s favourite players during his time in west London.
In total, Cucurella made 79 appearances under his former manager in less than two seasons.
When Maresca spoke about Cucurella last November, he said: “Cucu always gives us an advantage, and we are delighted with him.” Clearly, he was a player the Italian adored.
