Liverpool may be forced to dip into the January transfer market after receiving another injury blow. Arne Slot has been hit with the devastating news that defender Conor Bradley is now out for the season after being injured in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal last week.
Liverpool continued their unbeaten run against Arsenal but the queue for their treatment table is becoming longer by the week. The Reds are struggling for numbers in defence as well as in attack.
Mo Salah is still on duty at the Africa Cup of Nations for Egypt, Alexander Isak is out for some time with injury, and Hugo Ekitike has even been absent of late with a mild fitness concern.
Marc Guehi's preference
Guehi reportedly prefers a move to Arsenal or Liverpool over Manchester City. Guehi almost headed to Anfield last summer, before the proposed deal fell through.
The centre-back's contract is set to expire in 2026. Palace boss Oliver Glasner has conceded that he could depart Selhurst Park this month if a major offer was to come in.
While the likes of the Reds, City and Bayern Munich have been long linked with the star, Arsenal have also reportedly thrown their hat into the ring, with The Athletic claiming City are behind Liverpool and Arsenal in the running for the 25-year-old.
The report also claimed that Guehi is happy to wait until the summer to sort out his future, with his next destination possibly hinging on a fight between Liverpool and the Gunners. Arsenal did hold an interest in Guehi last summer, before signing Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia, while Piero Hincapie also arrived on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
Star 'wants out'
According to Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa wants to leave Liverpool and rejoin Juventus this month.
The 2020 European Championships winner has failed to cement a regular spot in Slot's starting XI. Chiesa has registered two goals and three assists in 20 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Speaking last month, Slot was quizzed on the Liverpool fan favourite. He said: "Every player has a possibility to start, but we have many options to start in his position. He is having his impact coming of the bench a few times."
To secure Chiesa's return, it's believed that Juventus would need to fork out around £8.9m, after receiving £13.3m from his sale to Liverpool in 2024.
Liverpool are reportedly only considering a permanent transfer, ruling out a loan deal with an option to buy. Chiesa himself is said to be not entertaining other offers, having only expressed interest in a possible return to Juventus.
