Following Charlton AFC vs Chelsea FC on 10 January 2026, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust has raised serious concerns about the unannounced holdback, which overshadowed the matchday experience. A letter to the MET Police has been drafted and will be delivered on Thursday 15 January when the CST meet with the MET Police to discuss policing operations.
Key issues noted within the letter include the lack of prior communication, confusion caused by blocked routes, and significant crowd safety and accessibility concerns.
