Barca won 3-2 to retain their trophy on Sunday night, but Mbappe was spotted seemingly urging his team-mates to walk away from the celebrations after their defeat.
According to Diario Sport and Catalunya Radio, while Barca were happy to applaud Madrid as they walked up to get their medals, the France international made sure the gesture was not returned.
However, he couldn’t make an impact in the game and appeared to be clearly upset afterwards after seeing Barcelona beat Los Blancos in a third consecutive final.
The result will also put more pressure on Xabi Alonso who downplayed the importance of Barca’s win afterwards.
“We have to turn the page as quickly as possible. It’s just one match, one competition, and of all the ones we have, it’s the least important,” he said.
“We need to look ahead, try to get players back, and improve our morale. And keep moving forward.”
