Tiago Splitter expressed concerns about Avdija's back injury in the Blazers' weekend loss.
Deni Avdija took an early exit in the Portland Trail Blazers' 123-114 loss against the New York Knicks on Sunday due to an apparent back injury.

With two minutes left in regulation, Avdija came down from an attempted rebound and went on to grab his back. He visibly showed discomfort and went straight to the locker room and didn't eventually return to the game.
He finished the night with 25 points, five boards and four assists in 38 minutes on the losing effort at home.
While he has no full details so far about the injury condition, Tiago Splitter expressed concerns about Avdija in his postgame presser.
"It’s a tough one, a tough hit after what he’s doing for us. I don’t want to sound the alarm too early, but yeah, I’m definitely worried about it," the Blazers interim coach said.
Avdija has been the driving force of the Blazers' rise this year. Flashing career numbers of 26.1 points, 7.1 boards and 7.0 assists, he is yet to miss a game in his second campaign with Portland.
A potential significant absence of Avdija will be a gut-wrenching blow for the Blazers, who have won seven of their last nine games en route to a 19-21 record. They are currently in ninth spot in the West standings.
