Tino Livramento has already given Arsenal answer on potential Newcastle United exit

Newcastle United 4-3 Leeds United

Tino Livramento continues to attract interest from the Premier League big boys.

Tino Livramento previously insisted that he is placing noise about his future to one side amid reported Arsenal interest.

The Gunners are the latest club linked with Livramento, who recently returned from injury. At the time of his chat with NewcastleWorld in November, it was Manchester City thought to be keeping tabs on the defender.

Livramento has developed into an England international since joining Newcastle United in 2023. Capable of playing at left-back or right-back, the 23-year-old will have two years remaining on his Toon contract at the end of the season.

Arsenal interest in Tino Livramento

The Sun claim Arsenal could make a bid for Livramento in the summer. By that point, the Gunners - sitting six points clear at the top of the table - may well be Premier League champions.

Mikel Arteta is likely to keep his powder dry this month given Arsenal’s heavy outlay last summer. However, once the PSR deadline resets, expect them to be sniffing around the most in-demand targets.

Tino Livramento on Newcastle United future

Speaking to NewcastleWorld, Livramento stayed coy on his United future, refusing to outright commit to a possible extension. It is understood that the Magpies view a new deal as a priority to keep the likes of Arsenal at bay.

“That's nothing that I'm in control of,” Livramento said. “I leave that to my dad, to my agent. For me, I've been out for seven weeks. I've been working really hard to come back and obviously help the team.

“I’m very happy with how I've played (against Man City). That's my focus, staying where I'm at now. That's always been my focus. Helping the team as much as I can.”

Ross WIlson confirms Tino Livramento priority

New sporting director Ross Wilson told supporters in December that Livramento’s contract is of high importance. He said: “It’s no secret at all that we would want to extend Tino’s contract and we would want to extend Sven Botman’s contract too.

“Those discussions are ongoing. Some discussions are more difficult than others, but the desire would be to keep those players. Will they agree to those contracts? At the moment, I think it’s too early to say.”
