DeRozan, who scored 22 total points in the victory, clinched the special milestone at around the 9:24 mark in the second quarter after he drained a fadeaway jumper.

The announcer of Golden 1 Center announced his 26K feat, igniting cheers and standing ovation from the Kings crowd.

He is now the 23rd player in NBA history to reach 26,000 career points.

"I mean, it’s always just satisfying getting a win, you know?," he said after the game. "I think as far as everything else, scoring points and everything, I think that really won’t hit me until it’s all said and done and you look back and however long I decide to play and the things that I’ve been able to do.

"But it really don’t hit me in a moment."

DeRozan is currently 26th in the league's all-time scoring leaderboard. He is set to surpass Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett, who registered 26,071 career points.

After a huge win over Houston, DeRozan and Sacramento will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
