Liverpool are in the market for defensive reinforcements this month, with Como defender Jacobo Ramon being eyed, according to a report from CaughtOffside.
The centre-back position could become a problem for Liverpool in the coming months, with Ibrahima Konate's contract expiring in the summer. Giovanni Leoni was brought in as cover at the back, but the young defender has been ruled out for an extended period due to a serious knee injury.
Joe Gomez is another option to provide competition in the position, but the English defender has struggled with injury problems over the last few years. Virgil Van Dijk is the only other senior option for Arne Slot in the centre-back role, which could mean they prioritise a move to sign a new defender this month, or at least in the summer transfer window.

According to a report from Caught Offside, Liverpool are one of the sides showing an interest in Como defender Ramon. The Reds are believed to be monitoring him closely after an impressive spell in Serie A, but a deal could be complicated due to his previous club.
It's claimed that Real Madrid have a buy-back clause of just £7m, while they are also entitled to 50% of any future fee. As a result, it's an easy deal for Madrid to complete if they want to bring him back to Spain, and it's certainly a bargain in the modern era, especially after some of the performances he's produced for Cesc Fabregas' side.
Ramon, described as a 'monster', has started 15 Serie A games for Como this season at the age of 21, scoring twice for the Italian outfit.

Ramon Could be Ideal Konate Replacement

Ramon's experience in Serie A, playing regular senior football, has undoubtedly helped him immensely in terms of his development. Whether he's ready to make the step up to Premier League football remains to be seen, but he's a player who offers a similar level of physicality to Konate, who could be heading through the exit door this summer.
It's clearly not going to be an easy deal to complete due to Real Madrid's involvement, but Ramon is a player they should be looking to secure if he becomes available in the coming weeks or months.
