Mikel Arteta is mulling over potential new additions to his Arsenal team, with just three weeks left until the January transfer window closes. The Gunners are enjoying a fantastic season and have been linked with strengthening their squad during the winter transfer period.

Guehi transfer preference emerges
Arsenal are reportedly one of two potential landing spots for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. As the January transfer window progresses, Guehi's future has become a hot topic, particularly following a failed £35million deadline day move to Liverpool last September.
The Athletic suggests that Arsenal and Liverpool are the clubs Guehi is keen on joining, although not until the summer when his contract expires.
Athletic journalist Sam Lee claimed on Let Me Talk podcast: "On Monday night, I was told by somebody who knows what's going on at City, but also I think probably Palace as well, he said he thinks Guehi wants to stay until the summer and he prefers Liverpool [to City] in any case."

He added: "Somebody else messaged me on Twitter and I know he's very good on other club stuff, he was like: 'Yeah, he wants to stay until the summer - and he prefers Liverpool and Arsenal'."
Guehi, now 25, has made 20 Premier League appearances this season and is tipped to be part of Thomas Tuchel's England World Cup squad this summer.
Battle for 'next' Saliba sparked
Arsenal are reportedly vying with Liverpool for Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet. Football Insider suggests that the Gunners have joined the Merseyside club and Chelsea in expressing interest in signing Jacquet.
Chelsea have been linked with Jacquet for some time, but it seems that Arsenal and Liverpool have now thrown their hats into the ring for the highly-rated defender.

The 20-year-old is among one of the brightest talents in Europe and the Gunners are just one club in a long list eyeing the Stade Rennais defender.
Previous reports have suggested that he could be available for around €40million (£34m).
