Transfer rumour roundup: Premier League duo track Como centre-back

Centre-backs are high on the agenda this month and Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly preparing for a Premier League transfer tug-of-war.

Como central defender Jacobo Ramon has caught the eye of the pair, according to CaughtOffside, following his impressive performances for Cesc Fabregas's side. Chelsea will hope their former midfielder can put a good word in with the Spanish starlet.

Also eyeing up defensive reinforcements are Everton. Amid a tame FA Cup exit and fears the club's season is unraveling, David Moyes wants fresh blood.

An ambitious enquiry for Arsenal defender Ben White has been submitted, report Football Insider. Everton's failure to sign a suitable successor to Seamus Coleman has become an act of transfer negligence that White may just fix. He might cost a little more than £60,000, however...

Fulham's recruitment team are now back at the drawing board. The Cottagers had hoped to sign PSV goal-getter Ricardo Pepi this month, but a fractured forearm has scuppered that deal. The USA international is unlikely to return to action before March.

Unai Emery is desperate for mid-season additions at Aston Villa. Brian Madjo is close to coming in the door, though a midfielder and more experienced centre-forward are also desired.

There's interest from The Villans in former Chelsea duo Conor Gallagher (TEAMtalk) and Tammy Abraham (The Telegraph) to fill those needs. Both may see a potential Premier League return as their best shot at gatecrashing England's World Cup squad.

Finally, Tottenham want to hold on to Mathys Tel, despite interest from France. Fabrizio Romano says Paris FC are interested in signing 20-year-old on loan. Tel has scored three times in five Premier League starts for Thomas Frank's team this season.
