Many Chelsea fans are skeptical about the appointment of Liam Rosenior as manager.
Rosenior is still a young coach who had only managed in the Championship before he took over at Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg in 2024.
Enzo Maresca’s CV was also quite similar to Rosenior’s before his move to Chelsea, but the Italian improved it significantly during his time at Stamford Bridge after capturing both the Club World Cup and Conference League trophies.

Chelsea fans chant Liam Rosenior’s name after Charlton win
Considering everything, the concerns that Chelsea fans have about Rosenior are warranted. However, it looks like the 41-year-old is already starting to convince some supporters.
Rosenior guided Chelsea to an impressive 5-1 win against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup over the weekend, and Blues fans recognised his role in the victory.
As per football.london, after the game, Chelsea’s travelling supporters started to chant “Liam, Liam, Liam”.

There is no doubt that hearing that would have left Rosenior on cloud nine. After just 90 minutes of football, the Englishman had fans of one of the biggest clubs in the world singing his name.
What really would have delighted him, though, was Chelsea’s performance. Rosenior was more than pleased with Jorrel Hato, who scored the team’s opener, and his teammates after they managed to put five past Nathan Jones’ side.

What has Liam Rosenior said about Chelsea’s away support?
While the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge is often criticised, Chelsea’s away support is considered to be quite good.
Rosenior, though, thinks both Chelsea’s home and away fans are capable of really getting behind the team, having played at the Bridge himself.
“When you’ve got Stamford Bridge behind you — and I’ve been there as a player — it’s so difficult to play there for the opposition,” the former Strasbourg boss was quoted as saying by Chelsea’s official club website.
“The away support of this club is also incredible, I want to create really strong connections with them.”
Of course, football supporters can turn very quickly. Rosenior will need to continue picking up wins to keep Chelsea fans onside.
