Chelsea’s recruitment team has reportedly identified RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande as a potential attacking addition — and he would be a great signing according to reporter Iomie Stanley.
Diomande has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga since joining RB Leipzig from CD Leganes this past summer. and he 19-year-old has been one of the most productive attackers for the Bundesliga club this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 16 outings in all competitions thus far.
But according to The Athletic, a fee of £86million may be required to sign Diomande in the coming windows, and Furthermore, as Leipzig have no intention of allowing Diomande to leave, it will take a very large offer for them to consider a winter sale as his contract expires in 2030.
And according to reporter Iomie Stanley, Diomande would bring alot to that Chelsea side, he was quoted: ‘Dynamic, explosive, and increasingly decisive in the final third, Diomande possesses a profile that fits neatly into Chelsea’s long-term squad-building strategy.
Diomande is the kind of forward CHELSEA have lacked since the departures of Eden Hazard and, more recently, Christian Pulisic. Naturally comfortable on either wing, he combines electric acceleration, smooth ball control, and the ability to beat defenders both inside and out.
‘His style aligns with ***CHELSEA***’s need for a winger who Carries the ball progressively, Creates isolation opportunities in wide channels, Breaks defensive blocks with direct dribbling, Adds pace to transitions.
‘For a side often criticised for slow, predictable build-up play, Diomande would bring immediacy and unpredictability.’
