Liam Rosenior made a brilliant start as Chelsea manager in his first game but actually, a lot of onlooking pundits and fans have been impressed with his work in front of a camera.
Enzo Maresca’s replacement has now been Chelsea manager for a week after replacing the Italian at the start of last week. Since then, he has done numerous interviews and press conferences as Chelsea boss.
That, as well as a 5-1 win over Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday night, has culminated in a top start for Rosenior since taking over. Caretaker Calum McFarlane has been made his first-team coach.
One thing that has delighted Chelsea fans and earned the praise of those further afield is the way he speaks in the media. Gary Lineker said he was impressed with the way Rosenior handled the media.

Simon Jordan shares what Liam Rosenior is like off-camera
But in his pre-match press conference ahead of Charlton, Rosenior said he was confident of being a success at Chelsea because he is self-admittedly “good” at what he does. Some believed it to be arrogant.
Simon Jordan, however, allayed potential fears of Chelsea fans that Rosenior is not as good as he says he is having spent some time with the new Chelsea gaffer while at Hull. He told TalkSPORT (12/01, 12.05PM):
“Nothing wrong with that at all. Sensible, pragmatic, relative to the players he’s worked with before. In line with what he’s achieved. I like Liam, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be successful,” Jordan said.

“There’s no indication, over the last 20 years, for anyone with Rosenior’s CV to get the Chelsea job. But, Chelsea aren’t taking him on his resume; but because they’ve had their beady eye on him for 17 months.
“I’ve watched Liam when he was younger in the media, he had a lot to say without the background. He was always critiquing other managers, I thought hmmm, then I spent some time with him at Hull.
“Despite the fact he is confident, he’s not arrogant. He just has strong belief in himself, and if he doesn’t, who is? Behind the scenes, he’s considered, respectful, thoughtful, and intuitive. I think he will be alright.”
Charlton is one thing, getting a result against Arsenal is another
There’s being eased into a club with an FA Cup match against a side struggling in the division below, and then there is facing the country’s best side in a two-legged semi-final in the Cup on Wednesday night.

Arsenal is next for Rosenior, and if Chelsea are to stand any chance of progressing to the final, they will have to get a result at Stamford Bridge. Pressure immediately ramps up for the new Chelsea manager.
It’s a good opportunity. Arsenal are favourites and there will be little shame in losing but managing to win a result will give fans hope and convince them that Rosenior is the right man to take Chelsea forward.
However, Rosenior may have to do it without three key players. He admitted Cole Palmer, Reece James, and Malo Gusto all picked up tweaks against Fulham. Romeo Lavia and Levi Colwill remain sidelined.
