“He just wants…” – Chelsea leader explains Rosenior’s main demands in training after manager…

Moises Caicedo had some quotes on the Chelsea official website about new manager Liam Rosenior and what was being asked of the group in training now:

“I think he just wants discipline and effort from us, in training, in games,” said Caicedo

“We have started really well with him and for sure we are going to do a lot of good things with him.

“We are so pleased with the win because we knew they are so difficult to play against, so the team was good. It’s a battle when you play against a team like them, but our team was prepared. I think we did very well and we won the game.”

Rosenior has only taken a couple of training sessions, and will only have taken a handful by the time we play Arsenal. But clearly he’s off to a good start.

Caicedo on happiness for Hato

Caicedo also spared a word for young Jorrel Hato, who has not had an easy start to life at Chelsea. He got the start on Saturday and made the most of it, bagging a lovely goal and impressing his manager and his captain.

“Everybody was happy because of him. He deserved it, because he’s doing really well at the club, and now he scored that goal and everyone is happy for him,” were Caicedo’s thoughts on the situation.

In other news…

Liam Rosenior had called Caicedo the best midfield player in the world, and after the game the new boss spoke a bit about one way with which he had challenged his group to improve on what they had been doing before.

Rosenior also spoke about prioritising results over his “football philosophy”, something which will be quite comforting for fans who were worried we’d get a very idealistic coach in.
