LeBron James will wear a special-edition patch on his jersey to mark his 23rd season, starting tonight in Sacramento.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will wear a special patch on his jersey starting with Monday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, sports trading card company Topps has revealed.
Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule
To honor his 23rd season in the league, LeBron’s patch will feature his silhouette along with the colors of the jerseys he has worn for the various teams throughout his career.
The significance of debuting the patch in Sacramento is that he began his legendary NBA career in this city back in 2003.
The patches will be removed from his jersey after each game, with some set to be included in ultra-rare trading cards.
The 41-year-old legend is still putting up solid numbers this season, averaging 22 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 7 assists per game.
Meanwhile, the Lakers currently sit fifth in the Western Conference with a 23–13 record.
