In the past few days, Everton have been linked with a shock January swoop for Arsenal and England defender Ben White.
The Toffees are in the market for a new right-back and have been tracking a whole host of players from both home and abroad including Bologna's Emil Holm, Genoa's England U21 starlet Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Sevilla's Juanlu Sanchez and now White.
However, football.london understands that even if Everton's supposed admiration for White is genuine - this remains unconfirmed at this stage - Arsenal have zero interest in offloading the player this month.
Mikel Arteta's side are currently focused on continuing the momentum they built during the first half of the season and weakening their squad this winter is just not an option.
White has found himself out of favour at the Emirates Stadium this term but the Gunners are chasing success on four fronts and will undoubtedly need to utilise their squad depth if they're to achieve success.

Jurrien Timber remains the first-choice right-back at the moment but White can also provide cover at centre-back.
While the ex-Brighton man's contract runs until the summer of 2028 and does also contain a 12-month extension option, his future is only likely to be assessed at the end of the season, not midway through the campaign.
Additionally, whether Everton could even put together a credible offer is another question because White cost around £50million in 2021 and has not regressed.
In the past few months, Arsenal were incredibly stretched at the back and at one point, were down to bare bones.

Christian Norgaard has been forced to slot in as a makeshift centre-back while other stars have had to play through the pain barrier.
Cristhian Mosquera can play at full-back but without White, Arsenal would only have one right-back at their disposal in Timber.
Arteta has already made it clear in recent weeks that his side have no interest in decreasing the number of players within their squad and even though they're open to strengthening, the signing of a new right-back is not currently on the agenda.

White remains a focal part of the Spaniard's plans and while he may still warm the bench in some upcoming matches, there can be no doubt that he will get his fair share of minutes between now and May as Arsenal continue to count upon him.
