After dropping two of their last three games, including Saturday night’s 100-95 loss to the Spurs, the Celtics will look to get back on track when they travel to Indiana to take on the Pacers.

It marks the third meeting between the teams this season, with the Celtics prevailing at home, 103-95, on Dec. 22, then rallying for a decisive 140-122 win at Indiana four days later.

Those games were part of a 13-game losing streak for the Pacers, who have the league’s worst record at 8-31, but have managed to win their last two.

Notes: Derrick White had 29 points and Jaylen Brown finished with 27, but the Celtics received an unexpected jolt from reserve Baylor Scheierman, who scored 10 points in the loss to the Spurs. “I didn’t know if I was going to play (Saturday) or not. That’s kind of just how it is,” said Scheierman, now in his second season with the Celtics after being drafted out of Creighton. “My job is to be ready when my number is called and just try to go out there and impact the game in any way I can.” … Brown’s 29.5 ppg and White’s 18.6 lead the Celtics. … After tonight’s contest, the road trip will continue at Miami on Thursday, followed by games at Atlanta on Saturday and Detroit one week from tonight (Jan. 19). … Saturday night’s 123-99 win over the Heat was Indiana’s first home win since Dec. 8. “It was good to be back in front of a friendly crowd,” Indiana head coach Rick Carlisle said. “I thought our guys kept the fans into it, which we needed to do.”
