The Memphis Grizzlies could reportedly receive less for Ja Morant than the Atlanta Hawks did for star Trae Young.
While the Memphis Grizzlies reportedly hope to receive draft picks and young players in a potential Ja Morant trade, that expectation may not reflect reality.

On the latest Hoop Collective podcast, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon noted that what the Grizzlies could actually get in return for Morant might be even less than what the Atlanta Hawks received for Trae Young.
“Shams reported that Memphis is looking for young players and multiple picks for Ja. Good luck with that. The feedback we got on Ja wasn’t any more favorable than the feedback we got on Trae. In fact, in some cases, it was even worse,” MacMahon said.
Morant has struggled significantly this season, averaging a career-low 19.0 points per game—his lowest since his rookie year. He is also shooting a career-worst 41 percent from the field and has appeared in only 18 games so far due to injuries.
