In-demand star wants join Arsenal–Gunners move sign Frenchman–Prem star interested in Arsenal move

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Marc Guehi, Bradley Barcola and Tino Livraento that we think you may have missed…

Here is the latest Arsenal transfer news and speculation as there are now reports that the Gunners are very much interested in signing Tino Livramento from Newcastle United this January window, and he would be interested in a move to the Emirates according to reported Iomie Stanley

Livramento, 21, left Stamford Bridge in 2021 after failing to agree terms on a new contract, eventually signing for Southampton. Since then, the defender has gone from academy talent to Carabao Cup winner, England U21 standout, and Newcastle first-teamer under Eddie Howe.

The ex-Chelsea full-back has continued to flourish this season under Howe, despite some dodgy performances from the Toon, and his performances have now reportedly caught the attentions of Mikel Arteta.

The Sun now report that ARSENAL are keeping tabs on Livramento ahead of a potential summer swoop, and they are reportedly ready to try and fend off Man City for a possible deal for the England star.

Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘Arsenal are firmly in the Premier League title conversation, leading their rivals at the top of the table and competing across multiple fronts this season. Moving to a club regularly challenging for league titles, domestic cups, and potentially the Champions League gives Livramento a higher chance of winning silverware — something Newcastle aren’t as consistently positioned to offer yet.

‘*ARSENAL* manager Mikel Arteta values versatile, attack-minded defenders, and Livramento matches that profile. He is comfortable playing both as a right and left full-back — a trait Arsenal particularly appreciate given injury issues and rotation needs.

‘Livramento’s style — quick, aggressive in defense, and adept at supporting transitions — suits Arsenal’s proactive build-up play. Under Arteta, that could help him refine his tactical game even further.

‘Regular high-level football at Arsenal could help Livramento’s England ambitions. National team managers often select players who perform in big matches and maintain visibility at the top end of the Premier League. Playing for a title-challenging side would make his England call-ups more likely and help cement his place among the country’s top full-back options.

‘A switch to ARSENAL would bring Livramento Increased global exposure through European competitions, A platform to showcase his skills at the highest level, and a chance to develop under a high-profile coaching staff with experience nurturing England internationals.

‘Newcastle value Livramento highly and see him as an important part of their plans, so any transfer would come with a significant fee (reportedly around £60m).

But from Livramento’s perspective, not committing to a long-term Newcastle extension yet — as he’s left his future in his agent’s hands — signals he might be open to considering new opportunities if the right club comes calling.

‘For a young defender looking to maximize his potential and legacy in the game, the Emirates Stadium presents a compelling proposition — provided Arsenal can clinch the deal amid strong competition.’

ARSENAL MAKES BARCOLA MOVES

There has been some shock reports in the media which have claimed that Arsenal are the latest Premier League club to enquire over the potential signing of Bradley Barcola this January transfer window, and he could replace Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli according to reporter Iomie Stanley.

Barcola, who has been described as ‘one of the best wingers in the world’, was a key member of the PSG squad that won the treble last season, but this season he has found regular game time more difficult to come by, as Luis Enrique has preferred to use Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as his front three

That has made the player desire a move away from the French capital with a host of clubs said to be interested in his services including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich all interested in a move.

According to TEAMtalk, ARSENAL are one of the many clubs to have held initial talks with intermediaries over Barcola to see if they can yet win the crowded race for his signature, but it is thought that any move for the 23-year-old will occur in the summer.

Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘Barcola provides pace, creativity and direct goal threat from wide positions, and would add another dimension to Arsenal’s front line. But with Mikel Arteta’s attacking setup already competitive, signing the French international would likely mean restructuring the current frontline to accommodate his profile.

‘The most talked-about departure in relation to Barcola’s arrival would be Gabriel Martinelli. Martinelli has been Arsenal’s first-choice left winger for several seasons, but there’s a sense among some pundits and scouts that Arsenal are open to upgrading that role with someone offering a slightly different dynamic on the left flank.

‘Sources have reported that ARSENAL have considered “offering him” as a player to be replaced as they target “superstar” wingers, with Barcola mentioned specifically as someone who could replace Martinelli’s offensive output.

‘If Barcola were to arrive, Martinelli — a high-profile winger in his own right — could be the one most likely to make way, either through a sale or an exchange/part-swap structure.

‘Even if Martinelli stayed, Barcola’s arrival would shake up Arsenal’s wing hierarchy:

‘Leandro Trossard has been used as a wide forward/attacking option, and adding Barcola might push the Belgian further down the pecking order — or make him more expendable in the transfer market.

‘Arteta’s system underlines rotation and fluidity — meaning someone might have to sacrifice game time for Barcola to slot in as a regular starter.

‘Signing Barcola would give Arteta another high-quality option on the left — but potentially at the expense of the Brazilian’s starting role. Arsenal might view Barcola as an upgrade in certain tactical situations, especially given his direct pace and goal-creating ability.

‘Barcola’s arrival would strengthen Arsenal’s wing options, but it would also require clear decisions on who to sacrifice to maintain tactical balance and keep the squad fresh. With PSG currently reluctant to sell and Barcola’s own long-term contract situation unresolved, any move is still speculative — but ARSENAL appear ready to explore it.’

GUEHI WANTS ARSENAL

Here is the latest Arsenal transfer news and speculation as reports have now claimed that in-demand Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi is very much interested in making the move to the Gunners.

Guehi, who becomes a free agent at the end of the season, had been linked with a January move to Manchester City, Liverpool, ARSENAL and Chelsea for his performances in that Palace shirt over the past few transfer windows.

The defender has not come out and admitted that he would like to leave, nor has any of the chasing clubs submitted an offer to try and get a deal done, but that hasnt stopped the speculation which has suggested a move could happen this month.

Manchester City want to sign the Crystal Palace captain this month following injuries to Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol, with Arsenal and Liverpool keen on moving in the summer – when his current contract at Selhurst Park expires.

According to The Athletic, Guehi prefers Arsenal or Liverpool – the latter of whom saw a £35m deal for his signature collapse in dramatic fashion at the 11th hour on summer deadline day – to City and wants to remain at Palace until the end of the season.

Despite the fact Guehi is such a big factor in that Palace side, Oliver Glasner recently admitted that he does thinks that he will retain his captain’s services for the campaign, but has admitted that the right offer could see the star leave this month.

Asked if he was worried that Guehi could leave in January, Glasner said: “No more worried than in the summer because the summer would’ve been the same.”

He added: “I think Marc will stay but if Marc says ‘I want to leave’, and a club pays massive money – with five months left of a contract – every player will leave if you’re playing for a club like Crystal Palace.

“I’m pretty sure our chairman will ask for a very high price for him and then let’s see. I don’t know if Marc wants to leave.”

IcFootballnews Says…

Many people believe that Guehi is ready for that next step in his career, he needs to leave Palace for one of the big clubs, And it seems that he will have his options.

Arsenal would be a great move for the player that is for sure.
