Liverpool will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup should it beat Barnsley at Anfield on Monday, after the draw was made ahead of kick-off. The tie will be played around the weekend of February 14 and 15.
Arne Slot's side crashed out in the fourth round against Plymouth Argyle in February last year, with Harvey Elliott giving away a penalty at Home Park and a much-changed Reds team losing the tie 1-0.
This time around, the Liverpool head coach is hoping to go further in the competition, having already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Crystal Palace. It is also well off the pace in the Premier League too.
Liverpool also hosted Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round three years ago, with the Seagulls winning 2-1 at the Amex.
Elsewhere in Monday's draw, Macclesfield's reward for beating Crystal Palace is the visit of another Premier League side in Brentford.
John Rooney, Macclesfield coach, was presented at the draw at Anfield, which was conducted by Steve McManaman and Joleon Lescot.
Elsewhere, Liverpool's tie is one of just two fourth-round ties, along with Aston Villa's meeting against Newcastle United. Arsenal is set to host 2013 FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic, while Chelsea will travel to Hull City.
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Palace and Everton has already been dumped out of the competition.
One third-round tie does remain outstanding, with Salford City's encounter against Swindon Town postponed over the weekend.
