Diomande has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga since joining RB Leipzig from CD Leganes this past summer. and he 19-year-old has been one of the most productive attackers for the Bundesliga club this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 16 outings in all competitions thus far.

BILD have quoted the 19-year-old saying: “I want to play for Liverpool. I’m a huge Liverpool fan. My dad dreams of seeing me play at Anfield!”

Amid the speculation and rumours *LIVERPOOL*now want the attacker, ESPN’s resident scout Tor-Kristian Karlsen recently gave his virdict and tells ESPN: ‘Yan Diomande is arguably the No. 1 breakout stories of the season in European football as the 19-year-old Ivorian has made a huge impact at RB Leipzig after arriving in the summer from Leganes for €20m.

‘His rise comes even more meteoric when you rewind just a few months; he spent only half a season in a struggling LaLiga side — registering only 544 minutes and scoring twice — after joining from US college soccer last January. In his first Bundesliga campaign, Diomande has left a strong mark through the sheer ambition and frequency of his take-ons in the attacking half.

‘It’s the ideal make-up of his skillset that makes him such a nightmare for defenders. There are sharp body feints, a blistering, explosive first step, strong close control and relentless balance and determination.

‘There is also end product to Diomande’s game, he isn’t simply a “take-on” specialist or a source of artistry. He has seven goals in all competitions this season — his ball-striking is precise and neat — and he’s excellent at finishing with his weaker left foot when he cuts inside from the right.

GUEHI WANTS LIVERPOOL

According to The Athletic’s Sam Lee, Liverpool could have the upper hand over Manchester City in the hunt for Marc Guehi, as the Crystal Palace defender would reportedly prefer a move to Anfield over the Etihad.

Guehi, who becomes a free agent at the end of the season, had been linked with a January move to Manchester City, LIVERPOOL, Arsenal and Chelsea for his performances in that Palace shirt over the past few transfer windows.

The defender has not come out and admitted that he would like to leave, nor has any of the chasing clubs submitted an offer to try and get a deal done, but that hasnt stopped the speculation which has suggested a move could happen this month.
