Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal are reportedly competing for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, one of the most coveted talents in English football.

Guehi has enjoyed an outstanding 18 months, starring for England at EURO 2024 and guiding Palace to last season’s FA Cup final, including a memorable win over Manchester City at Wembley.

With his contract expiring and a potential move to Liverpool falling through last summer after the Eagles pulled the plug on a £35m deal on transfer deadline day, a transfer now looks increasingly likely.

Arsenal aim to bolster their defence, while Manchester City’s injury crisis could push them to pursue Guehi. The Reds’ continued interest may also accelerate a deal.

Guehi’s performances last season and in the early stages of this campaign have cemented his reputation, attracting attention from top clubs.

Palace had a strong run earlier in the season, going 20 games unbeaten in all competitions before slipping in October. Recent form has dipped, including a shock 2-1 loss to sixth-tier Macclesfield, leaving them in the bottom half of the table.

Guehi is expected to move to a club competing in Europe, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City all in the Premier League’s top four. Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for the Englishman.

According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich’s sporting director Max Eberl has recently reached out to Marc Guehi, attempting to persuade him to join the German giants in the summer.

Florian Plettenberg posted on X: “Max Eberl has made new phone calls regarding Marc #Guehi in recent days, trying to convince him of a move to FC Bayern in summer. A few weeks ago, there was already a meeting between Eberl and Guehi‘s agent at Säbener Straße, as revealed.

“FC Bayern are not giving up. Manchester City remain interested for the winter, while Liverpool are pushing for the summer. An open race.”
