Arsenal have just under three weeks to go to complete any January transfer business before the window closes at the begining of February. Mikel Arteta's side are currently six points clear of Manchester City and looking to win the Premier League title.
The Gunners have had to play the role of bridesmaid rather than the bride in recent years, but are in pole position to get their hands on the title. Arteta's men are still fighting on four fronts and will take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final later this week, are still in the FA Cup and Champions League.
Arsenal 'ask about Brazilian gem'
It adds that no figures were discussed, with Arsenal now joining Manchester United and Chelsea in enquiring about the Brazilian playmaker. Speaking earlier this year, Corinthians boss, Dorival Júnior said: "He’s a very important player. And if I’m being honest with you, I wouldn’t like to lose any player.
"We need to find balance so we can have a strong squad throughout the year. That is our biggest challenge."
Arsenal making 'real push' to sign Marc Guehi
There are widespread reports both Liverpool and Arsenal are pushing to sign Marc Guehi ahead of the summer transfer window.
The England international will be available on a free transfer when his Crystal Palace contract runs out, and Mikel Arteta is said to be a big fan. However, Bayern Munich are also reportedly in talks with the centre-back and Man City are said to want to make 'an important proposal and go strong for Guehi in the January window.'
The 25-year-old came close to moving to Anfield in the summer, before a deal broke down at the 11th hour.
