James Harden's legacy as one of the game's greatest scorers has taken another major step forward.
Los Angeles Clippers / Schedule
On Monday against the Charlotte Hornets, the Los Angeles Clippers star officially surpassed basketball great and Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal in the NBA's all-time scoring list.
Harden entered the home matchup 15 points away from moving past the 28,596 career points of O'Neal. As such, a three-pointer with 9:12 left in the third frame officially lifted the All-Star to No. 9 in the leaderboard.
Up next for Harden to surpass is the late great Wilt Chamberlain, who compiled a total of 31,419 points in his illustrious career.
Harden currently stands as the third all-time leading scorer among active players in the Association, trailing Kevin Durant (31,458+) and LeBron James (42,061+).
