Middlesbrough, Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers reportedly had scouts watching Barnsley star Davis Keillor-Dunn in action against Liverpool.
The 28-year-old has been a talismanic figure for the Red since he was prised from Mansfield Town in the dying embers of the summer 2024 window.
He has scored 33 goals in 75 appearances and has regularly been the subject of transfer speculation.
The forward captained Barnsley at Anfield last night (January 12), completing 81 minutes as the Reds were beaten 4-1 by Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup.
There is always attention on high-profile games and it has been claimed there were scouts in attendance with eyes on Keillor-Dunn.

Scouts watch Davis Keillor-Dunn
According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Middlesbrough were among those watching the former Oldham Athletic marksman.
Posting on X, he said: “Blackburn Rovers, Preston and Middlesbrough all sent scouts to watch Barnsley striker Davis Keillor-Dunn against Liverpool on Monday night.”
It now remains to be seen whether any clubs will feel the need to lodge a bid before the window closes.
Conor Hourihane’s stance on key assets
Keillor-Dunn is not the only Barnsley player to have been reported as a target for Blackburn, who have also been linked with Reyes Cleary.
Barnsley boss Conor Hourihane, however, is keen to retain his most coveted assets and build a team around them.

Last month, he said: “We went a little bit younger at times in the summer to really get exciting players and to create assets. We're delighted obviously to have them and we want to keep having them.
“Hopefully, come the end of the window, they're here, because that's what I want - I want to build around these players. But [we] understand the moment that we're in as well in terms of, if something does happen, we'll approach that in the right way.”
