Liverpool have made huge changes to their squad in the last year or so, with several of their summer signings now finally getting up to speed.
The Reds spent over £400m in the most recent summer transfer window, paying big fees for the likes of Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz.
Wirtz has begun to improve in the last couple of months following what was a difficult start.

However, Ekitike has been brilliant since he first stepped onto the pitch for Liverpool.

Had things gone differently, though, the Frenchman could have been lining out alongside one of his fellow countrymen at Anfield this season.
Curtis Jones names best player in the world
Curtis Jones has recently conducted a quick-fire interview with JD Sports.
The Liverpool midfielder answered a number of questions, including naming Galatasaray as his favourite stadium.

He also said Steven Gerrard was likely the first name he had on the back of a football shirt growing up.
Perhaps most interestingly, though, Jones named a former Liverpool target as the best player in the world right now.
Asked who the best player in the world is, he responded: “Oh, probably say [Kylian Mbappe].
Liverpool signing Mbappe from Real Madrid in 2026 would be pretty insane, but there was a point in time when the Frenchman was actually a potential option for the Reds.

Kylian Mbappe talks with Liverpool
Back in March 2022, Mbappe was still on the books of PSG and had just extended his contract with the Parisian outfit.
However, he revealed at the time, as per ESPN, that he had actually spoken to Liverpool about a move.
Mbappe also shared how he met with the current Premier League champions when he was still an AS Monaco player.
He said: “We talked a little bit, but not too much. I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. I don’t know why, you will have to ask her.
“It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club. Of course, it was between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the end.”
