A Chelsea player who has been "fantastic" this season is now expected to leave this month, amid interest from England and across the continent.
Blues eyeing new signings as they gear up for Arsenal clash
Liam Rosenior got off to the perfect start as Chelsea manager, defeating Championship side Charlton Athletic 5-1 away from home in the FA Cup, but the new boss is faced with a much more difficult task this evening.
Indeed, the Blues are set to take on Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final, with their opponents flying high at the top of the Premier League table, currently sitting six points clear of nearest-rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Having invested in the squad heavily during the summer, BlueCo would've been hoping to challenge their London rivals, but Rosenior's side currently reside in eighth place, 18 points behind the Gunners.

As such, the west Londoners may need to bring in some new additions if they are to challenge for the Premier League title next season, and they have identified some very exciting targets, including Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez and Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr.
Consequently, in order to make room in the squad for a statement signing, Chelsea may have to offload one of their current forwards this month, and a report from The Athletic has now revealed that Tyrique George is expected to leave on a permanent deal.
George has attracted widespread interest, with clubs from England and across Europe keen, despite being unable to establish himself as a key player for the Blues this season, starting just two games since October.
Having submitted an enquiry for Antoine Semenyo before the former AFC Bournemouth man's move to Man City, BlueCo are clearly keen to bring in another attacker, who could arrive either this month or during the summer transfer window.

The Blues are looking to upgrade their attacking options.
"Fantastic" George could have been future star
It is probably the correct call to allow the 19-year-old to leave this month, given that he is some way down the pecking order, but the teenager has impressed whenever given the opportunity this season.
Scout Jacek Kulig has taken to X to hail the youngster's performances, with the winger bagging his first-ever goal in the Champions League.
Not only that, but the London-born starlet has two goals and an assist to his name in three EFL Cup outings, while also bagging two goals for England U21s.
George could've been a future star for Chelsea, but having signed the likes of Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho in the summer, the Blues have a wide array of options in attack, so it would probably make sense to cash-in this month.
