“KPop Demon Hunters” stars Ejae and Rei Ami put Asics cushioning and a thin-heel boot in the same frame courtside at the Los Angeles Clippers vs. Charlotte Hornets game at Intuit Dome on Monday night, just one day after the breakout animated hit from Netflix took home two Golden Globe awards, including Best Original Song – Motion Picture for its soundtrack single “Golden.”
Ejae kept it sporty in Asics’ Gel-Quantum Kinetic Pepper/Light Indigo low-top sneakers, which featured a mesh upper in brown and olive tones with dark synthetic overlays, along with Asics’ side stripes marked in light blue and yellow. The sneakers’ sculpted black sole was built around visible Gel cushioning with FF Blast foam, the same Gel-Quantum Kinetic platform Asics has highlighted for long days standing — and the tech now also used under the brand’s leather Gel-Kinetic SP hybrid derby released with Kith in North America last December.

She styled the Gel-Quantum Kinetic sneakers with wide-leg jeans treated with a vertical black and faded green wash effect down each leg. A white cropped tank and brown zip-front jacket completed the look, keeping the outfit in the same athleisure lane as the performance runner.
Ami took a different route in black boots, opting for mid-calf leather boots with a pointed toe, a softly slouched shaft and curved seaming through the vamp and ankle. The design featured a thin, rectangular heel, with no visible hardware breaking up the smooth black upper — a shift from the snap-front Azalea Wang Bird Song peep-toe booties she wore at the 2025 TikTok Awards in Los Angeles.

She kept the look tonal, pairing the boots with a long black skirt with tiered ruffles and a black hoodie printed with white graphic lettering and symbols. Layered silver chain necklaces, stacked rings and a black manicure rounded out the look, while her hair was styled in loose waves with blunt bangs.
The courtside appearance followed a busy Golden Globes weekend for the “KPop Demon Hunters” singers. One night earlier, Ejae, Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna arrived at the awards ceremony in Beverly Hills in coordinated black gowns, including an Old Hollywood-style strapless dress for Ejae and a Valdrin Sahiti design with elevated straps for Ami, as the film earned three nominations including Best Motion Picture – Animated and Best Original Song – Motion Picture for “Golden.”
Onstage accepting that award, Ejae reflected on a decade of work and the response to the track. “It’s a dream come true to be part of a song that is helping other girls, other boys, and everyone from all ages to get through their hardship and to accept themselves,” she said, thanking the Golden Globes “for accepting my voice and our voice.”
